The Salvation Army Monterey's Good Sam Center is a day center providing
essential services to homeless and low-income clients.

Hours: Monday - Friday  8:30am - 4:00pm (Closed 12:00pm - 1:00pm).  On the 3rd Friday of each month, we will be closed 12:00pm-4:00pm.

Services

  • Daily hot meal: 10:30am 
  • Food Boxes Available: 1:00pm to 4:00pm. 
  • Showers, Laundry and Mail Services: Available 8:30am to 12:00pm
  • Serving daily meals at Naval Post Graduate location: 11:15am - 11:45am, Monday - Thursday.

The Salvation Army feeds an average of 156,000 every single day in the U.S.

These meals are served to anyone in need - this includes homeless people of all ages, as well as individuals and families who may be down on their luck and in need of a helping hand. In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. This approach focuses on meeting the physical, mental and spiritual needs of each person and helps move many from hungry to fully healed.

  • Sanitizing products

  • Financial contributions

  • Gift card donations

All other donations, such as clothing, furniture, and other usable items, can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Thrift Store at 1850 Fremont Street, Seaside, CA.
