Thanksgiving at The Good Samaritan Center

Dec 24, 2018 | by Kendra Brady

Full plates, full hearts.

The doors were opened for our guests, who were seated at festively decorated tables and offered music and devotions to feed their souls first.  Our volunteers, which included the Mayor of Sand City, members of the Shake family and The Salvation Army Advisory Board, served plates of a traditional Thanksgiving meal to our guests.  You know the food was good when it was quiet in The Good Samaritan Center!  The only confusion that day was who got the bigger blessing- the guests?  Or the volunteers?  If you've been wanting to volunteer with us, don't wait until next Thanksgiving.  Call the main office and find out what opportunities are available now.
